‘Autoplay’ was a feature introduced in Windows 98, which enabled automatic display and view of media on appropriate applications. Now, it was not too late that ‘Social Networks’ began including the said feature in it’s applications and within a quick span of time launched the option in various social networking sites and apps. In recent times, sites like Facebook and Twitter also included the autoplay feature and enabled automatic display of the videos. With this feature, whenever a video appears in your timeline or feed it starts playing automatically.
Although enabled as yet another advanced feature of the latest technical introductions, the ‘Autoplay’ function did not cause much help to the public and rather unfortunately became a cause of annoyance. The sudden interruptions and sound interference while browsing or working on the sites, the almost forceful display of videos that people are unwilling to view, often contents that many like to hold away from and most importantly the unnecessary date usage that the automatic play consumes are the biggest reasons beside others behind why the option has not been well accepted by the public.
Fortunately though, there remains an option open, much to the relief of people, about disabling the autoplay option. Read on to know, how can you disable or turn off autoplay from Facebook and Twitter–
