Apple recently released its ninth generation of iPhones, the brand new iPhones 6s and 6s Plus. The announcement was made on the 9th of September in San Francisco, California. These two new smartphones from Apple are going to be truly marvellous. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, commented that although the phones might be similar lookswise to all other iPhones, the features and functionalities have been completely altered.
These new iPhones are having the same 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch Retina displays, the same exterior design like that of its predecessor. The only things that Apple has altered are the processor, the front and back camera, touchscreen functionality, vibration engine and various other core technologies. The phones are made from an entirely new material, which has been secretly disclosed by Apple officials. But this new material promises to be much stronger than the previously used material.
The new iPhones 6S and 6S plus have been made using 7000 series aluminium alloy, which promises to much more durable and much stronger that the variety of aluminium used in the previous models. A much more durable glass screen has been used in these phones, leading to a better user experience. The stronger glass was manufactured using a very effective method of dual ion exchange. The color variants users can choose from are namely Silver, Space Gray, Gold and the new “Rose Gold”.

Apple has also introduced a brand new second generation “Touch ID” module that allows for faster fingerprint detection, along with a 70% faster CPU functionality and 80% faster GPU functionality with the all new A9 64 bit processor in the iPhones 6S and 6S Plus. The “HEY SIRI” functionality has also been enhanced, thanks to the introduction of an M9 motion co-processor. All these new features truly promise a wonderful user experience.
With a brand new and improved back camera, shooting 4K video at 30 frames per second becomes extremely easy, along with the added ability to capture 63 megapixel panoramic images. The front facing “FaceTime” camera with 5 megapixel imaging capability and complimented with a True Tone Retina Flash is really good for clicking selfies anytime you want.
The new cameras on the iPhones 6S and 6S Plus also come with the Live Photos feature, which allows for displaying animations by recording 1.5 seconds before and after clicking a picture. So if you use this feature, you will totally get a “Harry Potter” kind of feeling. This feature’s main feature is to add life and vitality to all photos you click.
In terms of connectivity, both Wi-Fi and LTE have gone through tremendous changes in terms of speed. The LTE’s speed has been doubled with the LTE Advanced feature, which now supports a total of 23 LTE brands. The Wi-Fi Speed has been boosted up to 866 MBs per second, which is much faster than any of the predecessors have ever seen.
The prices of both phones have been declared as USD 649.00 and USD 749.00.
